Poppies is a vibrant celebration of summer, with a sweeping field of rich crimson and scarlet flowers glowing beneath a brilliant blue sky. The loose, expressive brushwork gives the poppies a sense of movement, while flashes of pink and coral catch the light amongst the blooms. Strong greens in the foreground contrast with the intense reds, creating a painting full of warmth, energy and the feeling of standing at the edge of a field on a bright summer's day.
